Vademecum per aspiranti attori; Canto XXVI-Inferno (Ulisse); Chiare, fresche et dolci acque;
Il naufrago; Essere rondine; Anche tu sei l'amore
These are the authors and texts that we took to heart to study and then bring together into a single thread of Poetry Theatre, thanks to the particularly passionate participation of all the students and teachers who, full of vigour, made them their own, searching for and inventing, in the space of the word, the life of song, sound and dance.

We imagined ourselves as the crew of Ulysses' little ship… just swallowed by the sea of the new land and spat out into an empty, suspended square… all waiting for another destination, wearing clothes different from those worn in the long years of sailing… their personal 'Sunday best'… during this wait, when they do not yet know they have entered another life, all are inhabited by other voices, other languages, other forms, another breath… everything is lived with an intimate choral quality, sung, danced, spoken… almost as training to withstand the unpredictability of the new, other journey…

“The actor invited to offer his participation in a choral performance, as soon as he realises its openness to imagination, to polyphony, to the sudden changes of all the variables of his voice, will multiply the controlled exuberance of his speech; and whether to become a chorus or only to evoke one, he will enter a climate of invention that will give back dignity to free monody, because he will have grasped its readiness to burst into polyphony, in the infinite variety of all those devices to which he can devote himself, imagining himself as the source, spurt, gush and fountain of a multiplicity of which, already feeling himself a figure, he cannot help but wish to become the actual image”.
Orazio Costa
