On Monday 4 June 2012 at 8.30pm the Teatro Olimpico in Rome
(P.za Gentile da Fabriano) will host the end-of-year show-event
“con le tasche piene di Miracoli”,
performed by the students with and without disabilities of the **Accademia
L'Arte nel Cuore E.T.S.**,
the world's first arts training project
(acting, singing, music, dance, directing, set design, hair and make-up etc.)
conceived and directed by Daniela Alleruzzo, created to help and nurture those talents
who find it hard to emerge because of their disability.
The musical is made entirely by the Academy's student actors, dancers, singers,
musicians and set designers, as well as its hair and make-up crew.

During Prohibition, Dave “the Dude” heads a gang of alcohol smugglers in New York. Dave is a superstitious type with a soft spot for the “magic” apples sold by Annie, an alcoholic beggar, as he is convinced they bring him luck. Meanwhile Annie, with great sacrifice, keeps her daughter Louise at a boarding school in Spain, where the girl has met the son of Count Alfonso Romero. The Count, his son Carlos and Louise too (who knows nothing of her mother's life as a beggar) are about to arrive in New York to meet the family Annie writes that she has. So Dave, who deep down has a heart of gold, decides to help Annie and with his gang prepares to turn the beggar into a great lady, with the help of his girlfriend Regina Martin, owner of a nightclub, Carmelo his trusted assistant and his whole colourful gang. Together they will stage a grand show, preparing a fake “high society” reception to impress the Spanish nobles. But Dave's henchmen, unfortunately, are not actors, and the unexpected will not be long in coming. How will Annie get out of it? If you are curious, you cannot miss “con le tasche piene di Miracoli” on 4 June at the Teatro Olimpico.
